Dunlop FX 500 Tour 2026: Jack Draper's racket, tested
FX 2026 range, fronted by Jack Draper
Updated 2 November 2026

The FX 500 Tour is the racket Dunlop pairs with Jack Draper: 98 sq in, 305 g, 16×19 pattern. It's the most demanding model of the FX 2026 range, built for power. We took it on court.
Our test
✓It's powerful
That's what stands out: the ball comes off fast without having to force the swing.
What other reviews say
- More precise and more demanding than the 100 sq in FX 500, which is more forgiving.
- A fairly stiff frame: several testers felt discomfort in the hand.
- Built for a clean, fast swing; on volleys, off-centre hits twist the racket in the hand.
- The comparison that comes up most: the Babolat Pure Drive.

Same head, same weight: two power rackets in a 98 format. The FX 500 Tour is more head light, so easier to whip; the Pure Drive 98 has a slightly denser pattern.

Draper is the face of the FX 2026 range. Like most pros, he probably plays a customised version, heavier than the retail model: don't expect exactly the same racket as his.
Who is it for?
For advanced players with a full, clean swing who want power without giving up the precision of a 98 head. If your arm is sensitive, try before you buy: the frame is firm. For more forgiveness, take the 100 sq in FX 500; for less weight, the FX 500 LS.
The technology
- Power Boost+: a wider profile and reinforced frame for stability and power.
- Power Boost+ Groove: a groove under the grommets that lets the frame flex more and enlarges the sweet spot.
- Power Wave grommets, which stiffen the central strings for more consistent power.
- Sonic Core Infinergy (BASF) and Vibroshield, for energy return and vibration damping.
